Friday, 22nd September. (Before Messrs J. Logan and J. P. Jones, J.lVs.)

Drunkenness.— Four drunkards were dealt with.

Obscene Language.—Francis Munro was charged with making use of obscene language in Castle street at an early hour that morning.—He was fined 20s, in default four davs' imprisonment. Maintenance. —John Adams was ordered to pay 4s a week towards the maintenance of his child in the Industrial School.

Threatening Language.—James Walker charged Henry Paruell with using threatening language to him at Caversham on the 16th inst., and asked that lie should be bound over to keep the peace. —After hearing the evidence, the Bench dismissed the case.
