CITY COUNCIL.
The adjourned meeting or the City Council takes place at 7 p.u. to-morrow. The following notices of motto are upon the order paper:— Cr Street to move—" That an asphalt crossing be formed over Princes street, in line of Rattray street, from Wise's corner to the Bank of New Zealand." . Cr Barnes to move—"That screenings. bs j placed on the following footpaths :—1 orth place, leading from George street to Queen street; Brook street, fronting Mr Gray s house; Clyde street, between Union and St. David streets; Regent roa', from Queen street to Cosy Dell; Queen street, opposite Mr Barnes property; Pitt street, from the Brewery to Royal terrace (four or five chains); Dundas street, between Castle and Clyde streets. Also, that a small footbridge be placed over .channel at junction of Union and Forth streets." Or Eliot Eliott to move—"That Jus Worship the Mayor be requested and authorised on behalf of the City Council to assist and support the Harbour Board iv a»y steps it may be deemed requisite to adopt to eesure the passiw of the Harbour Board Loan Bill, at preseat before the General Assembly."
