Mr R. B. Martin, Government auctioneer, held a s.'ile of Crown laud-i at the Land Offica at noon yesterday. The land sold was as follows: — RURAL LAND. Akatore.—Section 33, block I, containing 42a lr (burdened with £10 2s survey fees), Mr C. Falconer, at upset of £2 per acre. Clarendon.—Section G, block XI, containing 22a 3r 24p, Mr George M'Kenzie, at upset of £2 per acre. Glenkenich.—Sections 22, 45, and 40, block X, containing respectively Ola 2r 20p, and 57a 2r 33p, Mr Hugh M'lntyre, at upset of £2 per acre. Warepa.—Section S, block I, containing 30a 3r, Messrs Connell and Moodie, at upset price, £1 per acre. TOWNSHIPS. Hawksbury.—Sections 6 and 7, block XXIX, Mr John Drew, at upset price, £10 per quarter-acre ; section 1, block LXV, and section 22, LXX, Mr John Drummond. at upset price, £10. Moeraki.—Section 2, block X, containing 3a 2r 3Sp, and section 3, block X, Mr Joseph Culling, at £2S and £40 respectively; sections 7 and S at £20 each (the upset pricel, section 3, block 11, at £34, section 4, block 11, at £30, and section 2, block XII, at £20, Messrs Connell and Moodie; sections 1 and 2, block XV, Mr J. Culling, at £20; sections 4 and 5, Mr It. Short; and sections 8 and 9, to Mr J. Culling, at £20, that being the upset figure ot all the sections sold in this township.
Waynes.—Section 3, block VI, containing a quarter of an acre, and burdened with a valuation of £35, Mr Kitchener, at the upset prico of £10; sections 7 and S, block VI, the latter being burdened with a valuation of £110, Jane Campbell, at the upset price, £10; section 1, block VII, containing lr 32p, and burdened with a valuation of £25, at the upsot price, £1S ; section 2, at the upset price, and section 3, containing a quarter of an acre, at £10, Mr Robert Sinclair; sections 4 and 5, block VII, burdened with a valuation ot £30, Mr James Duncan, at the upset price of £20 ; section 8, block VII, Mr Donald Murray, at £11 15s ; and section 9, block VII, Mr Donald Ross, at £10. Waihemo.—Sections 1 and 2, block I, Mr John Dean, at upset, £7 10s each. PASTORAL DEFERRED-PAYMENT LAND. Tuapeka East.—Section 12, block IX, and section 1, block XII, containing 3112 acres, Messrs Matheson and M'Donald, 20s per acre. LICENSES OF RUNS FOR TEN YEARS. The licenses for 10 years of Runs Nos. 3 and 4, Tuapeka district, containing respectively 2190 and 2370 acres, at Cd per acre, were knocked down to Mr M'Donald at £03 and £91. It may be mentioned that Runs Nos. 3 and 4, Tuapekadistrict, had been offered at a previous sale but found no buyers. The wisdom of reducing these runs to a fair price—viz., sixpence per acre—was shown by them yesterday, bringing, in ono instance, about 25 per cent, more than the upset price, and in the other about 35 per cent.
