MOVEMENTS OF UNION STEAM SHIP COMPANY'S STEAMERS. Thursday, Fkbruary 24. Auckland—Albion sailed afternoon for Glsbornc. Nelson—Wanaka arrived morning from New Plymouth ; sailed afternoon for Pieton. Picton—Wanaka arrived evening from Nelson • sailed eveuing for Wellington. Lyttelton—Hawea arrived 6 a.m. from Wellington; sailed noon for Akaroa. Akaroa-llawea arrived afternoon from Lyttelton • •sailed evening for Port Chalmers.

The Union Company's s.s. Tararua, Captain Toxer, arrived at Port Chalmers at 6 a.m. yesterday. She left the Sandridgo Railway Pier at 7 p.m. on the 16th inst., and cleared the Heads at 8.30 p.m., experienced moderate winds and fine weather, and arrived at Hobart at 7 p.m. on the 18th inst.; left again at 4 a.m. on the 19th inst., had fine weather all the way across, and arrived at the Bluff at 6 a.m. on the 23rd inst.; left ayainat 4 p.m. same day, and arrived as above. We are indebted to Mr C. Keeble (the purser) for prompt delivery of report and files. The s:s. Maori, with 34 passengers and cargo from Oamaru, arrived at Port Chalmers on Wednesday. . The ketch Alpha, with cargo from Stewart's Island, arrived at Port Chalmers yesterday morning, and passed up the harbour to Dunedin. She left Paterson's Inlet on the 20th, and carried S.W. winds to Hugeet Point; thence she took a N.E. breeze, which fell light, and continued until she made Ota^o Heads on the evening of the 23rd inst. She sailed up the harbour early yesterday morning. •.. The ketch Isabella, timber-laden from Catlin's River, arrived at Port Chalmers at 9 a.m. yesterday. She left the river at 9 a.m. on the previous day, and experienced fresh S.W. winds to arrival. The schooner Janet Ramsay and Elibank Castle were loading at Catlin's River when the ketch Isabella left. f- The ketch Palmerston, from Dunedin, arrived at Paterson's Inlet on the 20th inst. The schooner Pioneer was taken on Fletcher's Slip yesterday for overhaul. The three-masted schooner Jasper was taken into Mason's floating dock yesterday for overhaul. The s.s. Tararua left Port Chalmers for the North' yesterday evening. • The s.s. Rotomahana, with passengers and car"o for Melbourne, via Hobart, left the Railway Pier at Port Chalmers at 6.45 p.m. yesterday. The schooners Maggie Paterson and Florinda, from Greymouth, arrived at Port Chalmers (with cargoes of coal) last night.
