CAVERSHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

The usual bi-monthly meeting of the Caversham Borough Council was held last evening. PresentMr Bridgman (Mayor), and Crs U'Ren, Barron, Bragg, Broadfoot, Kirby, Wilson, Cochrane, Holmes, Edmonds, and Moss.

Six tenders for the supply of dog-collars were received, and referred to the Mayor's Committee, with power to act.

Accounts amounting to £27 15s 9d were referred to the Finance Committee.

Tho Mayor's Committee reported that the Town Clerk had been appointed Registrar of Dogs, and recommended the construction of footpath crossings, to be made at the expense of the applicants.

The Works Committee reported that the application of Mr Prqudfoot to lay water-pipes from the Corporation main to his stables had been granted; and the Water Supply Committee reported that application had been made to the City Council to Corporation water for practice, and to supply water to flush the ditch running through Caldcrville when required. The Mayor said that a reply had been promised by the Mayor of Dunedin to the Council's letter re the purchase of certain water-pipes. On the motion of Cr Broadfoot Cr Edmonds' name was added to the Finance Committee.
