WELLINGTON v. NELSON.

Wellington, December 30th.

The cricket match, Wellington v. Nelson,, commenced this morning. Tho day was notpleasant for cricket, and a cold southerly wind was blowing. Only about 150 persons were present dnring the day. The Nelson team toofc> the wickets first, and when the adjournment was made for lunch had scored 81 for four wickete. After lunch wickets fell fast, and tho innings finished for 110, The Wellington team then went in, but only made 45, thus being 65 behind Nelson in the first inning*. The Nelson commencad their second innings this afternoon, but when 6 had been scored without the loss of a wicket the stumps were drawn until tomorrow.
