W HERE AS, on the twenty-niath day :» .» of March, one thousand ci'ht hundred and wyeßty-seven, a Proclamation was made and issued by His Excellency the Governor, under the tenth and eleventh sections of "The Protection of Animals Act, 18i3, declaring the consecutive periods during which it should be lawful to. hunt, shoot, take, or kill game and native game within tho PrpTincial District of Otzgo : And whereas it is expedient to revoke so much of such Pr^cUmation as relates to the hunting, shooting:, taking:, or killing of game within the said Provincial District, and to make other-provisions in lieu thereof: ■ ,■■■...' •Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Noimanby, Governor of New Zealand, in exercise- ofi the > powers and authorities conferred on: me by "The Protection of Animals Act, 1873," and STha Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," and inexerclse.bf any otherpower enabling me in that behalf, do hereby revoke so much-of the recited Proclamation as ■'■ relates to the hunting, shooting, taking, andkillinV of game within the said Provmcial District: And do he-ebyproclaun and appoint that in the Provincial District of Otago pheasants'may be shot during, the months of May, June, and July inclusive, in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-sevenj between the hours of sunrise and sunset; and that It shall be lawful.in the'said Provincial District to course hares during the said months of May, June, and July inclusive, between the hours of sunrise and sunset.
