Dkunkknnksh.—John Higgins, Charles M•Donald,. Margaret-Willj, ami William M'Ewen were each fined ss, or, failing payment, were sentenced to be imprisoned for 24 hours. Henry Wills (a new clinra who bad £44 upon him when locked up) was fined 20s, with the alternative of imprison* inent for 24 hours. Bridget Keau was fined 405,00 f in default, was sentenced to be imprisoned for 14 days ; and on the charge of habitual drunkenness, was sentenced to three months* imprisonment. Bvk-law Casks.—John Keefe, for removing stuff from the bed of the Water of Leith without permission, was fined 2a Gd and costs. William Hendley was summoned for displacing and removing the surface of the South Dunedin Recreation ground without the authority of the City Counci).
