THE INTERCOLONIAL RIFLE MATCH.

Thia contest, wliich has for Homo time past been looked forward to by Volunteers both in Danedin and the neighbourhood with eager expectancy, wiU bo fired off on Wednesday (to-morrow) and Friday mornings. The conditions of the match, which will be fired between 20 volunteers of Victoria, and 20 of thia Province, aro 10 shots each at 200, 500, and GOO yarda ; Hytho position at the former, and any position at the two latter rangeß. Five shots at each range wiil be fired to-morrow morning, Ensign Jamieson being tho oflicer in charge of the squad; and the remaining 15 shots on Friday morning, on which occasion the squad will bo under tlio charge of Captain Paterson. Captain and Adjutant Atkinson wUI be present on behalf of the Victorian team on both occasions.

Tlie second of two trial firings of tho 20 men picked to represent Otago, took placo yesterday.
