FTtHE Town Board of Dunedin are prepared to X lease either together or separately, for a term of 21 years from and after 15th May, 1858, Sections 5 and 6, Block XIX, Waihola district, containing 50 acres each, more or less. The usual conditions of lease may be seen at the office of the Town Board and a deposit of six months* rent will be required in advance. Tenders stating the rent, which will be paid per annum, wid be received at the Board's Office, Princes street, on or before 30th Juue, 1864. JOHN LAZ R, Clerk to Town Board. TOWN AND COUNTRY POLICE ORDINANCE EXTENSION AND AMENDMENT ORDINANCE, 1863. WHEREAS by an Ordinance passed at the 17th Session of the Provincial Council of Otago, viz. :—An ordinance to add further provision to the Town and Country Police Ordinance, 1862, and to amend the same, it is enacted that on and after the 6th day of October, 1863, the local authority mentioned in the 6tu clause of the said Town and Country Police Ordinance, 1862 shall be empswered to demand and receive a License fee not exceeding tne sum of Ten Shillings on granting a License to any Carter and said fee shall in the case of the Town Board of Duredin, or any other Town Board be received by the Clerk or other like officer oi the Board, and be applicable to the purpose of the said Board in like manner as the ordinary municipal estate of such Board is applicable, and whereas, it is further enacted, that in no case shall any forfeiture, penalty, or fine imposed in pursuance of this Ordinance exceed for any one offence, the sum of «L 100) one hundred pounds, and all such forfeitures, penalties and fines shall be recovered ia a summary way by information laid before any Resident Magistrate, or two or more Justices of the Peace ia the manner directed by the Summary Convictions Act, 1848. Notice is hereby given that the above referred to License Fee is payable to the Town Board of Dunedin, and the attention of all Carters is directed to the provisions of the Ordinance above referred to.
