Diionkkskess. —Andrew Stevens was charged with this offence, and fined 205., or, in default, committed for tho term of 48 hours. Disorderly.—Martin Cunningham was charged, upon the information of Robert Coghill, of Waihola, publican, with having on the 15th May instant, used profane and abusive language on the main south-road. The defendant said, when called upon to plead, that he aud the landlord, had been drinking together on the evening in question, when a few words ensued between them because the prosecutor would not allow him to have a game nt cards. The complainant, in stating tho particulars of his case, said that the prisoner was most violent in his language, and that his behaviour vras so excessively bad, he was compelled to turn him out of the house. When ejected into tho road, his expressions wore threatening and profane; and before he went awny he declared that he'd burn down the stables, and stt thq place on fire. Mr. Inspector Woldon gave the defendant a bad character, and reported to the Bench that his conduct had been most disgraceful. His Worship observed that there was not the remotest doubt but'that tho prisoner had conducted himself in a most disorderly manner ; and fined him 205., or in default, committed him to three days' imprisonment in 11. M. Gaol. The business of the Court terminated at ten minutes' before eleven o'clock.
