Per Press Association. AA'ellington, February 9. The subject of the census lias been liefore Cabinet several times, said the Prime Minister to-night. The quino lien nin I census would have been taken in the ordinary course in April next, but there has heen a suggestion that it should be postponed in view of the war. Cabinet decided to-day that the census should be taken, but in all probability it will not be possible to make the necessary arrangements until early next year. The decision of the Government was due mainly to a desire of the Ministers to give the Boundary Commissioners a sure basis for their adjustment of thp electoral boundaries before the next general election.
