CURRENT NOTICES.
The annual .meeting of the Duntroon portion of the \\ nitnki Islands will bo held in the Library on Saturday, January 23rd. at 8 o'clock, when applications along with earmarks will be received. The North Otago Farmers Co-opera-tive Association will hold their annual harvest horse sale at their horse bazaar to-morrow. commencing at 1 o'clock. The entries so far include three extra good draught- mares- and geldings ou behalf of Mr J. A. Meek, Enfield, and five draughts from other breeders. The Rev. D. Jamieson's lecture at Totara this evening on "Belgium and its people" will provide an opportunity for the manv to gain much instruc- ' iivo information regarding the customs of this unfortunate nation. The Rev. Mr J'amicson spent a number of years .in Belgium, and was a keen student of life in the country., and he relates his experiences and impressions in a most interesting manner. During the evening musical items will be rendered, and fnr those .who so desire a dance will bo held. The tickets for the lecture are meeting with a ready sale, ami the proceeds will be devoted to urgent repairs to the Hall. Mr B. A. de Lautour will resume teaching the violin, mandoline, banjo, _■ and-p.'anioforte accompaniment on Monday.- Ist February. t . Hew'J.*- D. Wilson will conduct the services on Sunday at Weston 11 a.m. Totara- 2.30 p.m.. and Ardsrowan 7 p.m. A service will <-tlso be held at Weston at 7 i».m.
