Regarding the murder of .Davidson, the coach-driver, it appears that an argument occurred between the Chinaman and' Davidson,- the -former accusiiiK the driver of cheating him. Davidson went, to bed at the AA[eetalibah Hotel, but early in the morning'a. man burst into his room and l slatibed' him to death, the wounds apparently having been inflicted with a large pocket-knife The inquiry was adjourned' to allow oX an interpreter being'present.
