The Nordisfc Company, well known ns producers of first-class dramatic subjects, have a masterpiece in "Shanghaied, 1 ' a sea adventure story abounding in thrilling and sensational incidents closely connected with _a. love romance or more than ordinary interest. The hero is a ship's officer in love with the daughter 01. his employer. At a foreign port he is doped by a rival, induced to sign- on before the mast on. a sailing ships and conveyed aboard, insensible. After a great: number of excitiiig ad-, evnfures the .--officer's, betrothed discovers what has happened to. him. Then occurs a -great oceaa< race,: the young officer's- steamer rbeihg sent full speed ahead after the wind-jammer. As. the vessel is overhauled the kidnapped man takes a desperate leap from the top of the rigging i"to the sea. He as shot at but escapes. . Supporting this ..fi'lnir are a number of : splendid dramas, scenics, and comedies. These include "The Sunset.
