It is to i be. constructed of cast-iron .-. segments, which will be put together on the .site, i The tower will be 60ft in height, with i three floors, and a lighting gallery, and the light will shine 170 ft above sea ! level, The site'is to'be promon-. i tory near Castlepoint and the light will have an unobstructed , range up and down the east coast. It is to be of the second' class, will be visible 21 miles in clear weather, and will be of the three grouped flash type, visible every 45 seconds. The Jiglitliouse staff will be accommodated in; cottages to be built close, to the toweri Four months is allowed for the- completion. of the ironwork, and another • four months will be necessary 7 to erect and. fit up the light. ,
