"Matches. — : The. following will show the different position held by the teams at the end of the season. The senior team were leading in the Shield competition at the end of the first.round, and your Committee feel certain that had they trained and kept together they would have had a prouder position than again being runners-up. The second and third grades did not show the same enthusiasm as in previous seasons, but the Committee hope to see them early into training, and each player making a name for himself as a footballer. Ist Grade: Matchesjplayed 8; won 5, lost 2, drawn 1; points for, 59; against, 42. 2nd Grade: Matches played, 7; won 1, lost 6; points for, 61; against, 117. 3rd Grade: Matches played, 0; won 1, lost 5; points for, 15: against, 70. "Seven-a-side Tourney.—The Club was represented by two senior and two junior teams in this competition, and although there was'not as much interest taken in it by some of tbe'oth'er teams as was expected, your Committee are pleased to say that both competitions wcic won by tin's Club. "N.O. Representatives.—The Club was represented by J. Oliver, B. Perry, R. Young, and R. Ongle'y in the North Otago team. These members were hard workers for the Club, and their places will be hard to fill. "Committee Meetings.—Your Committee held 7 general Committee meetings during the season. These were attended as follows: AV. AVatson 6 R Young 4, S. Goodall 5, B. Perrv.6, D v Rosie 6, A. Reid 4, R. AAW 4, R. Hmkley 1, A. M : Kenzie 6. "In retiring from office your Committee wish the Club every success for the coming season, and trust that their members will riot only take a' deep interest i:. Club football, but will take an interest in football in general, and help r£ • los Av l ", the s P° rfc and assist it along. r J"s Club no doubt attribute-the loss of the Shield to bad luck more than anything else, but the outgoing Committee recommend more training as a tonic, and if they use'enough of it through- the season : o'f 1911 the Club will stand one rung higher on the ladder tnan they do at the present moment." Hie balance-sheet showed a satisfactory financial state, there being a credit balance of about £4. '•"•.' . . • .-•

Th_e question of collecting outstanding, members' 'subscriptions" was' raisedi by Messrs Perry and M'Kenzie, who': thought no member should be allowed to play until his subscription is paid.: I here was plenty of time .before the commencement of the Shield matches,: and the subscription was not a larec 1 one. '.-',''■ . Tiie Chairman suggested that they 1 instruct their, delegate to ventilate thematter at the annual meeting of the bub-Union. A young fellow who parm all the privileges :of a Club; playing -under its'- banner and did not' pav its subscription was not worthy of the name of a ,<«- sport,?? '.• -~A Club was : better without, such'members. It would ; bo more to their advantage to have 50 I? e „ Ia rSri---ff h S % e ?8 -P a J!nS- members' than 90 half of whomdTd riot.fulfilitheir. Obligations. 'He Roped" that this year the members would infuse a little more" enthusiasm into their work and play J & e 9 lub - The-'Club Mid kept on steadily for many years, but had never; got beyond a certain- ppinW If a. little; more energy shown' the point might this year be passed. On the motion oof;-Mr Couper/ seconded by Mr J. Cunningham, the rc E,, a;il ° adopted. ; .■■■'.The reports'ancf balance-sheets from the Union and .-Siih-TJnion were received. The chairman explained that the financial state, in the balance-sheet of the'SubiUnibn was duo to the fact that other Sub-Unions as : well as Clubs had -failed to* keep their engagements, so that some profitable 'gates had been lost" .The outgoing Committee of the Sub-Union had had » hard time. There had been trouble with the. .Duntropri Club, and ■ one T? of. its members.. .The 'disqualification .had now been 'removed "from the member, but the Club was ' still disqualified. ; How the matter would end he could not say, but he felt sure that if the present members of the Sub-Union were put in, office again, football would soon be where it "should "have been'years ago. ■ -. ; .... . •

A large number of new members were proposed. . The subscription for,'the'coming season was fixed at. 5s for senior and 3s for 'unior members, the Committee being given power to deal with subscriptions for second-grade players. On the motion of Mr Perry, seconded by Mr J. Cunningham, jun., it was reso^Y .-that all members whose last year's subscriotion is outstanding be not allowed to. -play until -that subscription is paid.
