NOTES.

The Ennerdale (John Mill and Co., agents) is due at Oamaru on Monday next to load for Auckland direct. The Timaru dredge, having completed her periodical overhaul, left Port Chalmers yesterday for Timaru. This dredge has increased the depth of water at the Timaru wharves to 30ft at low tide, and in two years for now it is expected that she will have made that the minimum depth throughout the basin and the approach to the-~harbor. It is reported that a timber strike at Bunbury, Western Australia, is interfering with shipping. The Union Steam Ship Company's Kurow, now at Adelaide, was fixed to jproceed to Banbury to load for Dominion ports, via Dunedin.
