Scratched: Effort, Sharpshooter, and Medallist. Time, lmin 41 4-ssec. Wellington Stakes.—Culprit 1, Orton 2, Sunburnt 3. Won by two lengths, a long neck between second and third. Also started: Tenterhook and Bootfe. Time, lmin 2 1-osec. Wellington Handicap.—Ladv Medallist 1, Birkdale 2, Maori King* 3. Won by three-quarters of a length. Scratched: Lady Reina. Time, 2min 6 3-osec.
Fitzherbert Handicap.—Byron 1, Counterfeit 2, Miscount 3. Won by a head. Scratched: Golden Ball, Aloha. Time, lmin. l_2-ssec.
