MISSION OF HELP.

.1 On Saturday evening.'iiext the Angli- _ nan Mission of Help will begin in this town, and continue daily nntiL Monday, 'November 21st. The Rev. H. ,V.' Stuart, Vicar of Stoke-on-Trent,- and 4 Prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral, the 'missioner, will arrive on Friday or "Saturday next, and the service or- re- " ception will be held in S. Luke's Church on Saturday evening at 8 o'clock, when the missioner will give his first address. "Reports are constantly coming from-the ■north of the wonderful work done by all the missioners in the various places visited, and Prebendary Stuart's efforts have exercised a marvellous influence over young and old, men and women, and people of all persuasions in the -' towns in which he has worked. The: Church of England people in Oamaru may look forward, then, to a very profitable tj»ne during the coming mission, andj.indeed, we.feel sure the whole town will have a share in the great "lift up." . The mission will be quiet in its working; there will be no excitement, hysteria, or vulgarity, but quiet, straight-out talks, prayer, and praise, and instruction for those who wish it. We understand the missioner will deliver short addresses ' during lunch hour on week days at different parts of the town, and not hesitate to say that fifteen'minutes of the hour for lunch will be gladly spent by the men and boys in listening to this men's man. On the Sunday evenings of the mission, -an afterchurch service will be held in the Opera House at 8, o'clock, inaddition to the mission service in • the parish Church at 6.30. Men's services will be held on Sunday afternoons, and also children's services, while during the week meetings for women and; services ' for children will be held. '; Further particulars of the mission can be obtained by reference to the printed forms in circulation.
