L: One of the luckiest inventions in liisJtbry was barbed wire. Isaac < Ellwood, of Illinois, the inventor, made the-first barbed wire to keep out bis neighbors' Digs. ~ It succeeded, and hie protected his idea. In a few years he made over £3,000,000.
