"with freshening westerlies in the north and northerly winds in the sonth. The weather has "been unsettled and hazy, with rain in parts. The present indications are for a westerly gale in mo-it parts of the country and rough w.-ather on the West Coast- and in Cook and Foveaux Straits especially. Ram is probable generally from a storm area which is likelv to envelop the whole country shortly. Heavy seas are to be expected on the "West- Coast.
