(Per Press Association.) "Wellington, July 5. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are: The barometer has risen steadily in the north and fallen in the smth. "with freshening westerlies in the north and northerly winds in the sonth. The weather has "been unsettled and hazy, with rain in parts. The present indications are for a westerly gale in mo-it parts of the country and rough w.-ather on the West Coast- and in Cook and Foveaux Straits especially. Ram is probable generally from a storm area which is likelv to envelop the whole country shortly. Heavy seas are to be expected on the "West- Coast.
