CURRENT NOTICES.
As a mark of respect to the memory of the late Mrs Garland, the North Otago Ladies 1 Golf Club has cancelled all matches for this month. Attention is directed to the sale, at Messrs J. D. Familton and Sons' rooms on Saturday, of two freehold sections in Torridge* street. These are sections 21 and 22, containing house and other improvements, all ingood- order. The property is one of the few situated in such a convenient position coming into the market, and as Mr Paterson has decided to sell, it is well worth the attention of those interested.
The Otago Farmer's Co-operative Association's annual winter horse failwill be held on June Ist and 2nd. The present catalogue contains seventy heavy workers, twenty of which are pedigreed. The light section is made up of thirty hacks and harness horses. In our issue of yesterday there appeared an advertisement to the effect that all trains would be brought to a stand for 15 minutes from 11.45 a.m. The Railway Department now intimate that the time for this stoppage is from 2.30 p.m. Trains departing at this time will therefore be delayed until 2.45 p.m., and will run a-quarter of an hour late to destination.
Owing to the funeral of his late Majesty King Edward taking place on Friday, May 20th, the Post and Telegraph Department's hours of attendance will be modified as follows: All offices open in all branches from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.; also from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the receipt and delivery of telegrams • only. One letter-carrier's delivery will be made, commencing at 8 a.m. The Telephone Exchange will be open as usual.
Messrs H. Brown and Co. have on hand a number of practically new bicycles for which they must find now owners. Some of these have passed through previous hands,; and on that account are styled second-hand, but are in reality as good' as new.
