Justices of the Peace are requested to attend a meeting at the ConrlhoiiKc, in order that the jury lists may be revised. The newly-formed. Oamaru Amateur Athletic Club will hold its first annual mreting on the Caledonian Grounds, North 'Road on Thursday, March 26th. A good programme has been arranged, and there is every promise of a successful meeting. Entries for the events close at 8 o'clock tliis evening, with Mr L. M'Donald. secretary. Mr Barrie Marsehel, the well-known actor, purposes establishing elocution and dramatic art classes in Oamaru. Fuller particulars will be found in our advertising columns. Mr Marsehel is a thoroughly competent coach and stage director, and achieved much success in Dunedin with the Otago University and Garrick Dramatic Clubs, so that bis presence in the town should act as a fillip to amateur theatrical matters. It will be seen from advertisement in this issue that the managers of the Technical Classes Association propose .to add some useful and desirable subects to the already Kben9!l syllabus, amd prospective students are requested to enrol as early as possible, so that the amount of support- likely .to be forthcoming can be ascertained. The annual meeting of snibscribers to the Kakanui Athenamm and Library will be held in the Athenceum Hall on Monday, 23rd dnst., when the balance-sheet will be received and a new commdtee elected. Intending members for the coming year are also requested to be present. Students of the Technical School are notified that the date of enrolment is Tuesday, March 24th,.,a.nd that enrolments will be" received from 7.30 till 9 p.m. at the school, Tyne street. In aid of the Children's Organ Fund at Windsor, it is announced that a, concert and dance will be lield in the Windsor Public Hall, on Friday, April 10th.
