STOCK SALES. At tlie Temuka sale yesterday there was a very good yarding of sheep and cattle, but the cattle sale was very dragging, most lots being passed in. The sheep as a whole sold very well. Cattle, 170 were yarded; 2 steers £8 15s, 4 at £7 15s, 4 -at £6 15s, 1 fat heifer £4 16s, 4 at £7, 4 at £5, 1 at £4 ss, 1 at £4, 1 springer £6, 2-year steers £2 9s 6d, 2 yearlings 275, 1 springer £5 ss, 1 fat cow £5, 1 cow in profit £6, 3 6pringers £4 15p (passed), 29 18-months-old cattle 32s 6d (passed). Sheep: 2533 were yarded; wethers, 30 fat 21s Id, 135 6-tooth 21s 6d, 4 small stores 14s Id, 90 2 and .4-tooth fat 21s 6d (passed). Ewes, 21 fat 17e lOd, 36 at 14s Bd, 27 at 12s lOd, •64 at 15s, 7 at 18s 9d, 60 at 13s. 11 at 10s Bd, 12 at 13s Id, 30 at 16s 4d, 27 at 16s Bd, 13 at 10s 6d, 157 at. 13s 9d (passed), 30 at. 16s, 18 at l4s 7d, 40 at 14s 9d. Breeding ewes, 7 ewes in lamb 4 and; 6-tooth 255, 309 s.m. and failing 19s 5d (passed). Lambs, 4 fat 18s 9d, 62 at 17s 2d, 43 forward 16s lOd, 119 ewe lambs (small) 14s, 261 three-quarter-bred ewe lambs 14s 8d (passed), 120 at 15s (passed), 600 at 16s Id (passed), 60 forward 15s 9d.
