Mr Murray, Chief Secretary and Labor, Mr Bent Railways, Mr Taverner Works and Agriculture, Mr M'Kenzie Lands, Mr Cameron Mines and Water Supply, Mr Reid Education and Health, and Messrs M'Leod, Pitt, Sachse, and Kirton, honorary Ministers. The Federal Franchise Bill has received Lord Hopetoun's assent. To-day was observed as a public holiday for the Prince of Wales' birthday. The ' weather was showery. The Birthday Handicap resulted:—Flagship 1, Argo 2, Strathjoy 3. Thirteen started. Betting: 3 to 1 Lowland Chief, 8 to 1 Flagship and Argo. Won easily by a length. Time, 2mim 42fsec.
