The report of tho Royal Commission on Charities recommends that no furthor Government aid bo given to a number of subsidised charitablo institutions other than hospitals, and the concentration of funds and Government supervision, whieh it) ia considered would givo much hotter results. It expresses an opinion that as soon as local government is established throughout tho colony expenditure for outdoor relief Bhould be thrown entirely on local ratos.
