Prices were very firm. Threequarter scraped, 106s ; half scraped, 81s. At the wool sales 54,410 bales were catalogued, and 50,236 sold. The Waihao clip sold at 6§d, and the Moeraki at Bd. The Colonial Consignment Coirpany has declared a dividend of 6 per cent, and carried forward L 3073. Peceived September 26, at 8.55 a m. London, September 25. Mutton—Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes : Canterbury, 3Jd ; Dunedin and Southland, 3|d ; North Island, 3d and l-16th of a penny. Lamb.—Prime Canterbury, 5Jd ; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington and secondary Canterbury, sd. River Plate.—Crossbred or merino wethers, heavy, 2§d ; light, 2sd. Received September 26, at 11.5 a.m. London, September 25. Hides are in fair demand and prices unchanged. Basils are Jd dearer. Leather prices are unchanged.
