Sydney, April 21. The Government statistician has completed the wheat returns for the past season. They show the actual area cut for grain to be 867,500 acres, an increase of 271,000 on the previous year, the yield being 8,848,000 bushels, an increase of 3,652,000. The average yield per acre is 10 2 bushels, an increase cf 1"5. These figures show large increases on the previous official progress reported.
