Waitaki High School Sports.
The annual sports meeting of the Waitaki High School was held yesterday in fine weather though the wind blew a trifle chill. There were not a great many spectators present, but those who were there seemed to enjoy themselves. Mr H. G. C. Harvey acted as starter and Mr J. Keddell as clerk of the couse. E. A. Vickerman is the winner of the Champion Cup, beating A. Thompson by a couple of points. 3?. Torrie wins the prize for most points for boys under 15. The Champion Cup is a handsome trophy aud has been presented by Mr J. S. Holmes (Awamoa). At the conclusion of the sports the prizes were presented by Mrs Harkness to the successful competitors who were greeted with cheers. Cheers were then given for Mr and Mrs Harkness and those who officiated and this brought a very pleasant afternoon to a close. The following are the results : Throwing Cricket Ball. J. R.
