Six furlongs. Nomination, 15s; acceptance, ss. 5. Handicap Time Trot, of sovs. To start at 3. Second horse 2£ sovs from stake. -The winner of the Three-mile Trot to incur a penalty of losec, second horse -ssee. No weight under 10sc. Saddle only. Two miles. Nomination, 12s 6d ; acceptance, 5s 6. Jockey Club Handicap, of 25 sovs. To start at 3.45. Second horse to receive 5 sovs from the stake. Winner of Duntroon or District Handicap to incur a penalty of 101b; or of. both 141b. Six furlongs. Nomination, 15s ; acceptance, 10s. 7. Hack Selling Race, of 10 sovs. To start at 4.30. The winner to be sold either by auction or tender for 10 sovs; and any surplus to go to the funds of the Club. Four furlongs. Post entry, 10s. 8. Consolation Handicap, of 15 sovs. To start at. 5. For beaten horses (Trots and Hack Race excepted). One mile. Nomination, 15s ; acceptance free. RULES AND REGULATIONS. The Dunedin Jockey Club rules strictly adhered to, and the deeision'of the Stewards to be final. No nomination received unless on these conditions. The trotting races will be run under the rules adopted by the Dunedin Jockey Clvb. District means Waimate and Waitaki Counties. All horses entered for the Maiden Plate and District Handicap must be the bona fide property of residents in the district, three calendar months prior to the meeting, and horses must not have been trained outside the .prescribed boundary for the same period. Five per cent will be deducted from the gross amount of winnings for expenses. •Any person lodging a protest must deposit 2sovs,and6hpuldsuchprotestbe deemed frivolous by the stewards, the said deposit shall be forfeited.
