An application was made this morning for an annulment; of the bankruptcy of Joe Dicks, late proprietor of the Waltham Arms Hotel, recently arrested at Oarnaru on a charge of evading his creditors. The creditors have been paid in full, and LSOO remains in the hands of the Official Assignee as security for Dicks remaining to answer tho bankruptcy proceedings. Tho Official Assignee was instructed by tho Minister for Justice to lay a criminal information, under the Bankruptcy Act, against Dicks, who was arrested on a warrant in the Supreme Court at tho conclusion of tho bankruptcy proceedings.
