MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
«> The Council held a Court of Revision of the Citizens' Roll, tliis morning, at 10 a.m. Present: His Worship the Mayor, Councillors Headland, Morton, Galbraith, and the Town Clerk. Resolved —" That the list of claimants, as read, for the Citizens' Roll he placed on the supplementary roll." The matter of polling-booths at 'the approaching elections was then considered, when it was resolved—" That the following places be appointed polling-booths at the forthcoming election of Mayor, Councillors, and Auditors for the Municipality of Oamaru" : JETTY WARD. Office lately occupied by Mr. William Aitken. THAMES WARD. Mr. T. Shalder's store, Thames-street. SEVERN WARD. Oddfellows' Hall, Coquet-street. A communication from the Gas Engineer was read re the supply of Gray River coal, when it was resolved : " That in accordance with the Gas Engineer's suggestion, tenders be called for supply of Grey River coal for twelve months, to be delivered in the retort house at the Gas Works, in lots of about 100 tons, at intervals of every three months. Tenders to be in by Wednesday, July 26th. Advertisements to be inserted in the " Otago Daily Times," and local papers. The Council then adjourned.
