THE PAN-PRESBYTERIAN COUNCIL.
Intimation has been received by the mail that the Pan-Presbyterian Council, to which delegates were sent from here, has been put oft* for. twelve months. ALL NATIONS CLAIM, ARROW. A seventh share in the All Nations Claim, Arrowtown, has been sold for £6OO.
THE CHESS MATCH,
The following was the position of the Chess Match yesterday: It was found that only two victories had been scored, both by Auckland players. Otago, however, claimed three victories in instances where they considesed then- chances of winning decidedly good in consequence of protracted delay by their opponents. Auckland replied, expressing its willingness to finish the last evening, but the offer was declined, as unreasonable, by the Otago players.
