ARE A GOOD COMBINATION

To Meet Britain At Hamilton (From "N.Z. Truth's" Hamilton Rep.) ONE of the greatest opponents Waikato will have to deal with m their match against Britain on Saturday will be the "inferiority complex." The chosen fifteen contains the right talent and should be capable of properly extending the visitors. Once thc players settle down to the game and shake off their stage fright they will give a good account of themselves. Nominally, the team is a combined Waikato - King Country - Thames Valley one, but the selectors showed wisdom m concentrating upon a proved combination, rather than experiment with one composed of individual players selected from the various outlying districts. The selected team, with the exception of the fullback, Weo, of the King Country, is comprised wholly of Waikato players. Weo gave a fine exhibition against Auckland B last Saturday week, and fully warranted his selection. The team is: Weo, Allen, Tuck, Mitchell, A. St. George, Fitzgerald, Carlson, Storey, Courtenay, W. Bonham, Leeson, Hooper, B. Cameron, A. Cameron and Reynolds. The talent is there all right, and the members have some idea of one another's play, but the lack of real combined training will tell against them. The forwards are solid grafters and should be able to hold the Britishers, while the backs are fast and nippy, and they all know how to tackle their man.
