ON THE WAR PATH.
Pettifer Wants Parker.
Pat Connors writes: "Jack Pettifer Is due back m New Zealand next week. Tack, who is a stoker on the Dunedin, has been for a cruise round the islands, lie has benefited very much by the trip and says he is boxing right at the top of his form. Pettifer should prove a good match for any lightheavyweight m the Dominion. Just prior to leaving England, Pettifer met and defeated the Bradford cruiserweight, Sid Pape, who, it will be remembered, fought a draw with Albert Lloyd and just within the last fortnight held Charlie King, ex-middle-weight champion of Australia, to a draw. So keen is Pettifer on getting a fight m New Zealand that he will box anyone m the country under any association for the smallest of purses, and if he fails to put up a good fight he. wants no money. He wants a fight just to let the people of this Dominion see he cart fight; all he asks for is sufficient time to , train. He is very keen on a return fight with Eddie Parser, stating that the las,t time they met he was altogether out of- condition." -
