At Fairhall and McCarthy,

When Tommy Fairhall and Bert McCarthy met at Newcastle recently they fought, to the best house seen there for many a day. However, the pair did not give the house what it wanted and those present got very noisy, finally pitching pennies into the ring Fairhall won rather comfortably on points, and as the winner he was entitled to take v the loose cash!
