REMANDED AGAIN

John Arbuckle Before The Court

Looking pale and worried, John Ar-Imc-lcle. ex-secretary of the New Zealand Miners' Federation, again made a brief public appearance before the Magistrate's Court, on Wednesday morning. On the charge sheet Arbuckle was also down as alias Jack Grant.

Mr. Perry, who prosecuted on "behalf \>f the* Minors' Federation, asked for a further remand for a 'week. We understand ,that a witness has to be brought from Australia, to sift out the allegations of huge defalcations m respect of the Broken Hill Miners' Relief Fund.

Bail was renewed as before m the sum of £1000 and two sureties of £500 each.

So far this heavy, bail has- not been forthcoming, and Arbuckle has consequently remained m custody.
