Petitioner,' a sheep farmer nt Chatham Islands, reckoned ho married Riakiao at the Registrar's ofllco In IDO4, and tliey lived together at tho Chathams for two years. They then had a disagreement and his wife ordorod him to leave her houso and not to return. Ho loft and wont to Hvo In his own house at tho next farm, two miles away. Subsequently. RlaklAo left her house and lived m another part of tho Chathams. Ho had asked tier to Uv on his farm, BUT SHE REFUSED. Tho troublo really started over hor raising a strenuous objection to hor husband doing a tap of work towards improving his own place. A. A. R. Palmer, a sheep farmer, stated that ho hud Hvod at the Gbuthams for many years and knew tho parties well. Ho know the wholo fact* of tho present caso, and wan certain that tho couple had not lived together. Hi« Honor sold the evidence of desertion WM CERTAINLY NOT STRONG, although desertion had been proved, and tho order for dlflaolutlon would b* granted.
