YEARLINGS SHIPPED TO SYDNEY.
The Waikanae yearlings, which were shipped to Sydney last week, were 1 the finest lot that ever left the Dominion. Their looks, growth and condition were wonderful; and they should sell well. The star youngster was the Aohilles — Steplna oolt. He is a beautifully-turn-ed chestnut colt with a head welt set on a splendid crest He has a better centrepiece than the usual run of this sire's stock. His full brothers, 1 Jason and Stepney, were long backed, but this colt Is well coupled with a long roach underneath. Ho stands very like his sire, and In front he greatly resembles him. Another beautiful colt is the Martian — Portland Lass youngster. He is much bigger than the usual run of Martians, and is a beautifully-temper-ed colt. Two fllließ by Achilles from Mayhap and Two Step arc both beauti-fully-topped animals. The former has a back llko a billiard table, and should oa/ry weight well. The latter appears to be a bit straight m front but she may grow out of this.
The Bezonlan-Nerve colt is a halfbrother to Balboa and a full-brother to Lightning, both winners. He is bigger, than Balboa was at the same age. He stands low to the ground and has great power behind tho sadle. He is a thick-sot colt with arms like an old horse.
The Achilles-Tortulla colt is the giant of the team. Though a late foal ho is already over 10 hands.
The Bezonlan-Mallalg colt is the final member of the team. He is very like tho rest of this sire's stock.
