LABOR DAY CELEBRATIONS.
The annual picnic and gports gathering, ■promoted by the Wellington Traces and Labor Council, will be held at Wonderland, Miramar, on Labor Day, Wednesday, October 12. These gatherings are always of a very successful nature, and there is every promise that this year's celebrations will eclijpse those of the past. A big sports programme is set down, and includes bicycle and foot races. About £75 is to be distributed m the way of l)rize money and trophies. There are several special events for married women, and not the least interesting of the attractions will be a baby show. The prices of admission are within the reach of all. Free coupons for'admission to the various side-shows will be procurable at the gates. Trams will leave. Courtenay-place at frequent intervals during the day.
