A recent' London cable announces that the Hon. C. S. Rolls flew (not rolled) 50 miles over the sea, his flights including one of 32 miles without a stop. Rolls (whose front moniker is Charles Stewart) is the third son of Lord Llangattock (haw !),' and is m his 3Srd year. He holds the MA. degree of Cambridge, and is captain of a motor volunteer corps. His father, who was M.P. for Monmouthshire m the Conservative interest from 1880 to 1885, and was Mayor of Monmouth m 1896 T 7, was raised to the peerage on August 30, 18U2, on the recommendation of the late Marquis of Salisbury (who had resigned the premiership just previously). He is honorary colonel of the Ist Monniotithshiie Artillery Volunteers. Lady Llangattock, mother of the Woo bind aeroplanist, is a daughter of toe late Sir Dharies Maclean, Bart., of Morvaien. .
