ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
"J.S." (Glen Oroua)— Statement too vague and all-fired libellous for 'this family journal. "E. 8.0." (Auckland)— Quite agree with you about the Yellow Peril, hut there is nothing m your letter that "Truth" has not already said. "Fowl Bread" (Martinboroygh) : The bread certainly look? a bit smoorey. Your proper course is to place it m the hands of the health authorities. "Mrs A." (Dannevirke)— You cannot blame the clerk, as no doubt they sent you the time-table date, but on that run steamers leave very often to suit the tide, and' cannot he depended upon to arrive at any definite date. "Wm.A." (Sydenham) — Twitch is a noxious weed .all right, and your neighbor must be a noxious weed also. See the Inspector of Nuisances, and if he can't help you, get even hy throwing dead things into Your neighbor's hack yard, or poison his fowls, or kiss his wife, or something; ; "Sport"— Agree that the sporting season might have opened on Good Friday arid have given the poor man shootist a chancs, but you must recollect that this country is run m the interest of that blastiferous beast the tourist. How dare a common New Zealander want a brace of pheasants or a few quail ? Such luxuries are for the knicker-bock-ered Johnny who is mostly used to murdering tame birds m a little place they call England. "T.W.S." (Woodville)— Certainlv the parson can substitute "cherish" for "obey" and m many services the word "cherish" is used. Anyhow, the "love, honor, and obey" business is only a church form instituted by the clergy for the sake of extracting a fee, and is quite unnecessary.' If people were not hound down by a silly custom, they would recognise that the marriape contract is a civil contract, and not a relitrious one. and the parson is a sort of middleman m the business, and should he done away with.
