DOSSERS-OUT.
The Beak Surprises Them.
Johnson on the Job,
Five bright beauties, named Peter McMahon, Edward Carney, William Johnson, William Whitieside, and James Carney, all belonging to the great unwashed, lined into the dock at the S.M. Court on Wednesday. The five pearls had been found m an unoccupied house m Tory-street at a quarter to three that morning, and were promptly lagged as vags. The quintette were seamen .out . of work. James Carney, Whiteside, and McMahon had all spent time m quod for various offences. Asked if they had any excuse, McMahon and Co. aslced the Court to accept a yarn that they had been out late LOOKING FOR TOIL, and had been caught m the rain, which drove them into the house. After giving the dossers i a ', . word of advice his Worship startled the dirty dossers ibiy ordering 'em to come up for sentence when' called upon. McMahon and Co. wondered what the blazes had happened to the S.M. . ' Johnson is one of the individuals implicated m the robbery at the New Zealander Hotel, and on a charge of "bar-bering" with another individual, he was yesterday (Friday) remanded till next Wednesday.
