HUTT VALLEY TROTTING CLUB.
The programme of events for the annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Trotting Club is. advertised m this issue. The meeting i$ to take place at Petone on May 26/ and as there is no other attraction m the district oo that particular day the sports loving population of the city and suburbs will . <no doubt roll up m large 'numbers to the "Trots." The programme is a substantial ' one so far as priie money is concerned, and all the events . are to be optional, saddle or harness. The' chief event is worth ' i£sO, and with it goes a . silver cup worth £26. The track and grounds at Petone are m good condition, a considerable : sum Of money having; been spent m improvements. The competitors and the' public can rely on a really good days sport, for the secretary/Mr N. J. 'Beddington, is working very bard to .make; the affair a success i .Nominations, i which should foe fnade out on the form supplied by the"' Club,* dose with the ' secretary, at the Empire Hotel, Petone, on Friday, May 10, at 9 p.m. Handicaps, will appear not later than Saturday, the 18th. The meeting will be conducted under the rules of • the New Zealand Trotting Association. Particular attention is drawn to the fact that all horses 1 entered at the meeting must be registered with the Association prior \ to the date of acceptances. ,
