RUGBY DISPUTE
NEW SOUTH WALES’S POLICY SPECIAL MEETING CALLED. Mr S. S. Dean, chairman of the New Zealand Rugby Union, was advised by cable yesterday that a special meeting of the New South Wales Rugby Union had been called for last night to consider the question of the representation of New South Wales at the Imperial Rugby Conference,, which is (or was) to be held in London to-morrow. The Special meeting was called in response to the cabl«» sent by the New Zealand Rugby Union, stating that unless discussion on an Imperial Advisory Board was permitted at the conference the New Zealand delegate would be withdrawn. No reply was received yesterday, to a similar cable sent to the South African Rugby Board.
