FIRE IN BOARDINGHOUSE YOUNG LADY LOSES TROUSSEAU. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, November 11. A ten-roomed two-storied boardinghouse in Cashel street was gutted by fire. The flames spread rapidly from the kitchen stove. A iourteen-months’-old baby was saved from a cot in the nick of time. A boarder named L. Dockerill had to clamber out of bed and drop over the front balcony roils. A young lady hoarder, who is to be married shortly, lost a portion of her troUEseau, valued at £2OO sterling. The. insurance on the building is £750.
