STUDENTS’ ANNUAL PLAY
‘‘JUST AS YOU SAY, DEAR.” ‘ .Wellington audiences will-soon hare the opportunity of witnessing something entirely different from tne usual type of “’Varsity Show.” This year’s play is not a musical extravaganza — Ili is a “farce.” But there again, it is not just an ordinary “farce”—it is indeed, decidedly extraordinary, radiating originality from beginning to end. ’Hie theme is original; the plot is original; the situations are original. Tno author (Mr G. Voun.p has approached a subject—as old as the proverbial hills—from an entirely now angle. The people ill the play are ordinary everyday people and what they do is the perfectly natural outcome of several admittedly improbable, but none the less most iaugliable, situations. A particularly strong student cast is interpreting the play, and present indications point to a successful season when “Just As You Say, ■Dear,” is staged at the Grand Opera House on June 23rd. The box plan opens at the Bristol on June 16Lli.
