BIRTHDAY GREETINGS

MESSAGE TO HIS MAJESTY The Dominion Conference of the Returned Soldiers’ Association, which commenced in Wellington yesterday, was the first gathering of its kind to be in session on the King’s Birthday. Appropriate reference to this was made by Mr W. E. Leadley, who moved that a cable conveying the felicitations of the returned soldiers of New Zealand to His Majesty King George V., on the occasion of his 61st birthday, be sent Home. The conference was in enthusiastic accord with this suggestion, and the cable was dispatched.
