INDIAN HOCKEY PLAYERS

FINE DISPLAY IN SYDNEY SPLENDID COMBINATION. By Telegraph.—Pro-. 4qjn.—r’QDvright SYDNEY, May 7. Interesting visitors to Sydney at present are members of the Indian Army hockey team, who are en route to New Zealand. All the members of the team are sturdy Indians with turbanned heads and neat uniforms, and they attract much attention. The visitors played a practice match against a Sydney army team, and won by 23 goals to 1. They gave a fine display, and their combination was splendid, and their stick work excellent. The Indian Army team is due in New Zealand next week, their first fixture being against Hamilton, on Saturday, May 15th.
